How to use the Calendar

At the beginning of each month, you can slide the top track to show the current month. The bottom track can be moved left to right until the first day of the week is correct. It's literally as simple as that! We include a sheet that shows the first day of the month for the next 20 years, to make it simple to set up each month.

We've run the maths on this one, and our computer program has verified that the layout is correct for the next 1,000 years.

Artwork and Printing

After ordering, we'll prepare artwork for your review, and adjust it until you're happy. We do require your approval before we make these for you!

We digitally print the wording of your choice onto the frames. It's not shown here, but we can print in full colour - that means adding logos as well if you'd like! In some cases, we can also add a feature in Gold Mirror or another colour. Just let us know in the notes, and we'll arrange this for you!

When selecting the Jarrah backing, we recommend only printing in white. This gives the best contrast and colour results. Birch and white backings give the highest resolution and colour reproduction with the printing process.

Materials and Sizing

We make the calendar component from your choice of gloss white acrylic, European Birch veneer, or Jarrah veneer. The calendar front components are made from gloss acrylic; the calendar cover and month cover are captive, and can't fall out if you turn the calendar upside down. (I mean, shake it hard enough, and they'll probably come out...)

For the wood backings, the edges of the panel is black, due to this component being laser cut. The wood base has solid wood on all sides.

The standard and clock versions of the calendar is 20cm tall and 21cm wide. The photo version of the calendar is 29.7cm tall and 21cm wide (A4 sized).

The wood base is 21cm wide and 18mm thick to provide a sturdy base. White or Birch backings ship with a light coloured wood base; while Jarrah ones ship with a solid Jarrah wood base.

The calendars are supplied with the backing fully assembled. To set it up you just need to slot the backing into the base, and set the month - very simple and fast!

The clock version

The clock version of the perpetual calendar ships with a battery powered, all metal clock. These are high quality timepieces - we know of ones that have been in service for 15 years! The watch battery internally lasts approximately 2 years before needing to be changed. (It unfortunately isn't perpetual, like the calendar component, sorry...)

The clock components only come in gold.

The photo frame version

The photo frame version is designed to fit a 6x4" print - more technically, a 150mm x 100mm print. The backing is fully acrylic, and releases with four phillips head screws for easy photo installation. The photo is behind a piece of clear acrylic to keep everything flat and to make the photo really pop!

The frame covers over 2mm of each side of the photo, so the exposed area of the photo is 146mm x 96mm.
